The 2nd VGS Genealogy Cruise

The Villages Genealogical Society sponsored its second Genealogy Cruise February 2-9, 2019, four years after its first genealogy event at sea. Our guest speakers were Blaine T Bettinger, Ph.D., J.D. (The Genetic Genealogist), George G Morgan and Drew Smith of Aha Seminars, The Genealogy Guys Podcast and Genealogy Connection, and C. Ann Staley, CG, CGL, Past Secretary of the Genealogical Speakers Guild. All four of them are members of the Association of Professional Genealogists. All are top notch, internationally known lecturers on genealogical topics.

Diane Clemmons and Ruth Wible were two members of The Villages Genealogical Society who sailed on the 2nd VGS Genealogy Cruise. Here they are sharing a laugh and a drink while waiting for the Lifeboat Drill announcement.

Pat Adams, President of The Villages Genealogical Society, enjoys a pre-Lifeboat Drill laugh on the Norwegian Epic.

VGS President Pat Adams and Vice President Annette Burke Lyttle peruse the dinner menu in the Manhattan Dining Room shortly after sailing on February 2nd.

The attendees ate dinner as a group in the Manhattan Dining Room.We filled 8-10 tables at our scheduled 5:30 dinner time each evening. Attendance levels fluctuated due to many Genealogy Cruisers taking advantage of the numerous Specialty Dining alternatives offered on the Norwegian Epic.
