2nd VGS Genealogy Cruise
Karen and I had been to Norwegian Cruise Line’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay, on our very first NCL cruise on Norwegian Sun in 2007. Since we have experienced a lifetime of sun over-exposure, we chose to stay on the ship and play Scrabble. However, so as not to disappoint, please see the photos below. They were taken at Great Stirrup Cay in 2007.
VGS Genealogy Cruise attendees in the Manhattan Dining Room on Norwegian Epic. This is clearly the coolest and classiest classroom at sea.
Pat Adams, President of The Villages Genealogical Society introduces the first speaker to present on the VGS Genealogy Cruise, Geroge G. Morgan. His topic was “Bring ‘Em Back to Life – Creating an Ancestor Profile”.
Genealogy Cruise attendees meet in the Norwegian Epic Library with George Morgan, Drew Smith and Ann Staley for an after dinner genealogy chat.
Ann Staley, seated on the floor, smiles at a comment by VGS Board Member Donna Yambasky, while President Pat Adams and VP Annette Burke Lyttle look on.
Drew Smith (in blue shirt with left arm extended) gestures while he participates in the after dinner genealogy chat.
The next day was a sea day, so we would would hear from all four of our speakers with presentations 2-5.
